Evaluations

After a screening is completed, if it is determined that further intervention is needed, a full evaluation will be administered. Comprehensive evaluations help to confirm the proper diagnosis and guide us to the best forms of treatment. The evaluation is a personalized process of gathering necessary information which includes an interview of the patient and/or the caregiver, case history, formal and informal assessments, scored results and professional interpretation of diagnostic data, treatment plan of care, with any further recommendations. Areas of evaluation can include: oral motor, articulation and phonology, receptive and expressive language, reading, pragmatics, voice, fluency, coordination, sensory processing, eating, playing, dressing and fine motor skills.
