What is a speech-language pathologist?
Speech-language pathologists diagnose and treat infants, children, and adults with a variety of speech, language, communication, cognitive, feeding, and swallowing concerns. They work in a variety of settings including the private practice, hospitals, schools, assisted living facilities, home health, and universities.

What is an occupational therapist?
Occupational therapists help people across the lifespan participate in the things they want and need to do through the therapeutic use of everyday functional activities. Occupational therapist interventions include assisting children with disabilities to participate fully in school and social situations, helping people recovering from injury to regain skills, and providing supports for older adults experiencing physical and/or cognitive changes.

Where do therapy sessions take place?
Coastal Therapy Partners provides therapy sessions at our clinic locations in Lumberton, Wilmington, Fayetteville and Whiteville, North Carolina. We also provide therapy services in the homes, schools, day cares and various healthcare settings throughout southeastern North Carolina.
How often will therapy occur and how long will it last?
Each client is unique. There are a variety of factors that will contribute to therapy frequency and duration of services. The therapist will recommend a frequency for treatment based on the results of the evaluation and/or therapy goals. Therapy can be provided up to several times per week to monthly consultants for skill maintenance.
Do you accept Insurance?
Yes. We currently accept Tricare, Medicaid, Blue Cross Blue Shield and Medcost.
